What I did this week - 11/18, 11/21, 11/22
On Tuesday, I continued to process the glass-plate negatives, following my established program of conservation. On Friday, Dr. Anthony Donaldson of the SPU Electrical Engineering Department kindly came by and inspected the radio parts that we have. He was able to identify some of them, and gave ideas for others might possibly be. We only had an hour, but we used it to good effect. On Saturday, I continued to process the glass-plate negatives. I think after one more good long session, I will be finished with that part of the project.
Here we are looking at the parts. Dr. Donaldson (on the left) also gave me a short lesson in the basics of radios.
I labeled some of the parts that we identified; here you can see one in my hand. Right now they have regular post-it notes on them, but we have ordered some special tags that will ultimately be used.
